Method and sources
The figures rest on 693,132 company deeds with a notary in the Belgian Official Gazette since 2002. The count is as of 06-11-2026.
Counted are the company deeds in the Belgian Official Gazette that name this notary as the notary before whom the deed was passed. The figure says how often a notary appears in those deeds. It does not measure a practice's turnover or its work outside company law. Deeds whose text names no notary count for nobody. A deed's kind follows the publication's heading. A firm is shown only when at least three deeds name one and the most named holds at least 60% of those mentions. A profile exists from three deeds. The national share and the median are computed over 3,056 profiled notaries.
The notary is taken from the text of the deed itself.
